Tail Waggin’ Photography came about long after I could hold a camera or knew how to develop film. it was the love child of a need for solstice in my TUMULTUOUS life, the pull to a greater calling, and the desire to challenge myself as an individual. What it became, though, was something even more incredible. it blossomed into my respite from reality, as I called it — my, tiny bubble in this giant world filled with nothing but love, passion, vivid color, and… puppies. lots and lots of puppies. With a name inspired by my heart dog, Dakota, I vowed to always put as much enthusiasm into my photography and clients as she did into her tail wags. and boy, could she make that tail go. Dakota has since crossed over the rainbow bridge, and, while I now photograph families, children, engagements, and even weddings, to honor the humble start of our journey I vowed to keep “Tail Waggin’ Photography” as the name of my business. I am so happy to offer you unique, personal, and vibrant art that captures the special bond between you and your best friend — whether that friend is a child with ten toes or a furkid with a wet nose, I promise you images that will last a lifetime.
on the home front I am proudly owned by two german shepherd dogs, Kaiser and Mya, a wonderfully sassy standardbred x Appendix horse, Cherokee, and three silkie roos, Mud Bug, Nugget, and Sachi. Also with Dakota at the Rainbow Bridge are Friski, a pearl cockatiel, and Kya, a long haired calico cat.
